EMC Group reports a rapid rise in revenue after three quarters of 2014

The consolidated revenue of the Group EMC Instytut Medyczny went up by 45.3 per cent to PLN 182.7 million over first nine months in 2014. The substantial growth in revenues stemmed directly from the financial results of the newly acquired companies - Zdrowie in Kwidzyń and the Regional Health Center in Lubin. These entities have contributed to the increase in the Group's sales by nearly PLN 60 million. Consolidated EBITDA stood at PLN 9.4 million.

“We have just entered the phase of intensive growth and investments. Efforts have been taken to improve the performance of the acquired hospitals in order to enhance the quality of medical services offered to our patients. A significant investment project to modernize and redevelop the infrastructure has been launched”-said Agnieszka Szpara, the President of EMC Instytut Medyczny.

"In the third quarter of 2014 the investment project to expand St. Anne’s Hospital in Piaseczno was in progress, at the same time Bukowiec Hospital Kowary was being redeveloped "- she added.

In the third quarter the redevelopment project at Geriatric Hospital in Katowice was completed.

In the second quarter of 2013 EMC Group expanded by the Company "Health", which runs runs Kwidzyń Hospital. The results of this medical facility have been consolidated since 1 August last year.
In February 2014, the Regional Health Center, which manages the Hospital in Lublin, was purchased. The facility in Lower Silesia with a bed strength of 400 beds has 10 Departments, an Adult Care Home as well as a Hospice. The Hospital Departments include: Internal Medicine Department with the following subunits: Respiratory Medicine and Allergology, General Surgery and Surgical Oncology, Rheumatology, Anesthesia and Intensive Care, Pediatrics, Neonatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Trauma and Orthopedics Department, an Admissions Unit and a Hospice.
