Appointing the Vice President of the Company

Legal basis: art. 56 (1) (2) of the Act on the Offer - Current and Periodic Information

The Management Board of EMC Instytut Medyczny SA (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Issuer’, ‘the Company’) announces that Michał John has been appointed as a Member of the Management Board of EMC Instytut Medyczny SA and nominated to serve as a Vice-President of the  Management Board by the Supervisory Board Meeting that was held on February 18, 2020. The appointment is effective immediately.

In accordance with the submitted statement, Michał John does not engage in competitive business nor does he participate in any competitive entities as a partner in a civil law partnership, or a member of the authorities of a company, or participate in any competitive legal entity as a member of its authority, neither has been entered into the Register of Insolvent Debtors kept pursuant to the National Court Register Act.

As the Vice President of the Issuer's Management Board, Michał John will be responsible for operational activities.

Michał John (born in 1982) graduated from the University of Silesia in Katowice, where got a degree in political science (in 2006) and history (in 2009), as well as graduating  from the University of Łódź in 2010, where he studied psychology. He has 12 years of experience in strategic management. He specializes in marketing communication, restructuring, change management and transformation of company culture.

He has been associated with the healthcare market since the beginning of his professional career. In the years 2008-2010 he participated in the restructuring of the sales, purchasing and franchise department in DOZ SA, the largest network in Central and Eastern Europe of over 2,000 partner and franchise facilities. Then, from 2011-2019, he co-created the market success of Dr.Max, Poland’s  fifth most valuable brand in healthcare and the most valuable pharmacy brand (according to 'Forbes', 2019). First, as the Vice President of the Management

 

Board, he was responsible for the marketing and public affairs department, e-commerce sales department and institutional sales. Then, from 2016 ,as Operational Director, he was in charge of the medical and  internal audit departments and the operational division, which included nearly 600 facilities.

Up till now, he has participated directly in over 60 M&A transactions, as well as developing management, restructuring and integration plans for acquired facilities.
